The NY Strip Steak:


The NY Strip can also be found with the names of the Kansas City Strip or the Shell Steak in some cases. Coming from a lesser worked muscle group, the NY Strip is one of the more tender steaks available. The Strip is slightly less fatty than the rib or rib-eye steaks.

Our Angus beef are 100% grass/forage fed with no supplemental grain used at all. Our NY Strip Steaks can rival any gourmet beef with their tenderness and wonderful flavor. We believe that letting the animals grow at there own pace on organically fertilized grass stands provides the animal a better life and the consumer a better product. Humanely raised, and in balance with nature, is our priority and it shows in the way the meat tastes!

Just wanted to let you know that we cooked up the NY strip steaks tonight.  UNBELIEVABLY DELICIOUS.  Just as tender as could be...
 
Here's what I did:
 
1.  Put frozen steaks over high heat, 1 min each side.  Add salt and pepper to each side
2.  Lower heat to Low
3.  Cook first side 7 minutes, flip and cook second side 7 minutes
4.  Flip and cook first side and additional 5 minutes
5.  Flip and cook second side until meat thermometer registered 145 (7-10 minutes).
6.  Cover and let rest for 10 minutes.
7.  Serve with some nice red wine.
 
Truly delectable.  I am sold!
