Spend the summer in Moffatt County Colorado, the real west! You will get to ride horses, see eagles and other bountiful wildlife and enjoy a lifestyle not found in many places.
We are a family run holistic grass fed cattle operation currently marketing through local farmers markets, word of mouth, and the internet. We are flexible and willing to talk to anyone who is interested in this opportunity.
Live and work on a western cattle operation with irrigated river bottom and desert range land. We strive for sustaiability through environmental stewardship, low stress stockmanship, and direct marketing a wholesome beef product. We need seasonal help in flood irrigation of our intensively grazed meadows. We do not put up hay. We also need help with moving elctric fence to properly manage the grass finishing cattle.
We offer room and board, and a monthly stipend.
For an internship/apprentice position we would be willing to have a person participate in management discussions so that they can learn about what it takes to run an operation like this from a management standpoint.
