Official Rules and Regulations
Eligibility
The Rockin J Cattle Recipe Contest is open to residents of
the United States. Professionals such
as chefs, caterers, food editors, home economists or
educators, or anyone who is involved in the
professional preparation of food or recipes for
pay,employees of the Just Tomatoes Company and
their families are not eligible. Questions about
eligibility requirements will be decided by the
Rockin J Cattle and all decisions are final.
To Enter
The Rockin J Cattle Recipe Contest consists of one
category: Comfort Food
Your recipe must be an main course and not be simply
grilling a steak.
1. Send your original recipe. Entries must include all of
the following:
* Name of Recipe
* Number of Servings
* List of Ingredients in order of use (with specific
quantities in standard U.S. measurements)
* Complete Preparation Directions including baking/cooking
time and temperature if necessary
2. Recipe must include use Rockin J Cattle beef.
3. Submitting Recipes
Beginning October 1st, 2009 recipes must be submitted by
email to john (at) rockinjcattle.com or mail:
Recipes, along with contestant’s name, complete
address, phone number and age must be clearly typed or
printed on 8-1/2 x 11-inch paper, one side only and at
least one picture of the finished product plus any
additional photos that you think will be helpful in
preparation. Include email address and fax number, if
applicable. Each recipe must be submitted on a separate
sheet or entered electronically on separate forms. Mail to:

Contest ends December 15, 2009. There is no limit to the
number of recipes submitted, but there can be only one
winner per household. Entries sent via the U.S. mail must
be postmarked no later than December 15th, 2009. Entries
sent via the Rockin J Cattle email must be received by
11:59 pm (MST) on December 15, 2009. Rockin J Cattle, LLC
is not responsible for entries that are lost or mishandled.

Rules
* Recipe must be original. Recipes must not have been
previously published in the same or nearly the same form.
By submitting a recipe(s), you affirm that to the best of
your knowledge, it is your original work and unpublished or
it is an existing recipe that features four or more
significant changes. Contestants are solely responsible for
complying with any applicable copyright restrictions, and
the Rockin J Cattle assumes no obligations in that regard.
By participating, each entrant accepts these rules and
agrees to be bound by the decisions of the judges, which
will be final.
* Participants and winners understand and agree that recipe
entries (including photographs, if any) become the
exclusive property of the Rockin J Cattle upon submission
and cannot be returned. All intellectual property rights in
recipes and photographs submitted by participants are
transferred to the Rockin J Cattle upon submission and
shall be owned thereafter by Rockin J Cattle. Participants
and winners further agree that entries may be used, edited,
modified or expanded upon by Rockin J Cattle in any way
they deem appropriate, without compensation to
participants/winners.
* Winners grant permission to Rockin J Cattle, LLC for use
of their name, photograph and/or likeness, for publicity or
advertising purposes and similar promotions, and for
winner’s list, without compensation.
* Recipes not meeting all requirements will be
disqualified.
* Void where prohibited or restricted by law. All federal,
state and local laws apply.
* Winners will be solely responsible for any personal tax
liability on the prize awards.
Judging
* Recipes will be judged on taste, originality, appearance
and ease of preparation.
* Winning recipes will be selected by a panel of food
professionals. All decisions are final.
* The judging panel will disqualify any recipes known to
have been previously published or previous recipe contest
winners.
* Judges will select One Grand Prize and One Second place
winning recipes from 6 finalists all of whom will receive a
Rockin J Cattle T-Shirt. The Grand Prize award is a $100
Gift Certificate; The second prize is a $50 Rockin J Cattle
Gift Certificate.
* Winners will be selected on or about the week of January
1st, 2010 and will be notified by telephone. Letter of
verification will follow within 14 days. Winners will be
required to execute an affidavit of eligibility and release
form which must be returned within 10 days of the receipt
of the form, or they will be disqualified and an alternate
winner selected.
A List of the winners will be posted on Rockin J Cattle's
website when available.
